webinar series #3 - Pedagogical resources about AI uses for university teachers

How can generative AI be used responsibly in university teaching? This is the question at the heart of the AI-Uses project (2026–2028), a European initiative supported by Movetia. By reviewing scientific publications on generative AI uses in university disciplines and maintaining a continuous techno-pedagogical watch, the project identifies key AI applications, extracts best practices, and turns them into concrete pedagogical resources that university teachers can put into practice right away.

webinar topic

The webinar will be a presentation of the project “” (AI‑Uses, 2026–2028) which focuses on the use of generative artificial intelligence in higher education teaching. It is financially supported by Movetia (No. 2025‑1‑CH01‑IP‑0017). The project analyses scientific publications on generative AI uses that support teaching and learning in university disciplines. A continuous techno‑pedagogical watch develops a better understanding of a responsible use of AI in higher education.

The AI‑Uses project has three main objectives:
1. Identification of key AI applications in HE teaching, for a responsible use.
2. Extraction of best practices for AI uses in university courses.
3. Production of pedagogical resources for implementing these best practices.

AI‑Uses is a collaboration between five European universities:

  • University of Fribourg – Project leader (Switzerland)
  • University of Lapland (Finland)
  • University of Pardubice (Czech Republic)
  • Ss. Cyril and Methodius University (North Macedonia)
  • University of Valladolid (Spain)
  • The project is associated with the AcrossEU alliance

This webinar will be led by Hervé Platteaux, Senior lecturer and pedagogical adviser at the University of Fribourg. After a MA in physics (Univ. of Geneva - 1991), Hervé Platteaux worked for scientific culture events in Europe and for research about educational hypermedia (Ph.D. Educ. Sci. - Univ. of Geneva - 1999). In 2001, he moved to NTE Centre of Fribourg University (Responsible for pedagogy) and, in 2023, to the “Didactics and Digital Skills Service” (Pedagogical adviser). For 25 years, he has been: developing educational technology solutions; training students and teachers in educational technology usages; developing networks (Swiss Eduhub, AIPU Association, AcrossEU Alliance) and developing an applied research activity about educational technologies.
